I am the proud momma to 6 incredible grown kids who, warts and all, I think are perfect; including one son who lives courageously with schizophrenia. I have experienced first-hand the frustrations families face due to the lack of available resources for the mentally ill, especially in our rural communities, & I am fiercely committed to advocacy & the Ethan Murray Fund’s mission. Passionate about art & design, I am a copywriter & studio assistant for my partner in life & adventure -- my husband Scott, a professional fine artist whose works include a series of oil paintings entitled “Ethan’s Kisses” on the subject of mental illness. I grew up in Montana & have lived my adult life in small towns throughout Alaska, Oregon, & for the last decade, in Idaho. I know well the restorative solace of nature & the mountains. Down time with Scott, trips to see our 13 grandkids, walk with my great Pyrenees, Gola, & getting my hands dirty in the garden also refresh me & keep a spark in my eyes.
